Arizona is the second market in The Juice Index’s national expansion, starting with Phoenix. The rest of the state — Tucson, Flagstaff, the I-10 and I-17 corridors — is not yet covered.
Phoenix alone has 348 public charging stations per the NREL Alternative Fuels Data Center, part of 4,645 ports statewide. Arizona’s heat is the state’s defining charging consideration in a way none of our original seven states deal with — DC fast charging sessions in Phoenix summer heat behave differently than the same session in Seattle winter, and that’s a real editorial angle once we build out the Phoenix guide further.
For now, see the Phoenix city guide for what’s covered. The rest of Arizona will follow the same pattern as our other expansion states: real data first, then editorial.
